SAFE is one of five QCF Lead Practitioners working with RSM Tenon to deliver the QCF Support Programme for Independent Training Providers in the West Midlands region. Our previous experience in transferring qualifications and training programmes on to the Qualifications Credit Framework will be used as a vehicle of skills dissemination throughout the West Midlands for the national LSIS QCF Support Programme for independent training providers initiated by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service.
The programme aims to support managers and practitioners of independent training providers as they begin to deliver the new qualifications from the QCF and use the distinctive features of the QCF to develop more flexible and responsive provision to meet the needs of learners and employers.
SAFE can offer up to 2 days support and access to online resources including a helpline, resources and case studies. The support will be offered to companies wanting to develop and implement QCF qualifications but who need assistance to do so. Support is available from November and will run until the end of March 2011. To access support on this programme, you will need to: -
- Complete an expression of interest (EOI) form
- Open an LSIS account
- Subscribe to the QCF Support Programme with virtual funds allocated to you by LSIS
- Identify an in-house QCF champion to participate in the support and drive forward QCF implementation in your organisation
To begin your application, please submit the QCF Expression of Interest form to the address detailed in the form. For more information about the initiative please visit : QCF Support on the Excellence Gateway and select Support for Independent Training Providers, or contact us for further details.
