Redeveloped in conjunction with IPSA in 2009, it is a one day programme that covers skills in vetting and screening to the requirements of the BS7858 – the British Standard for screening process for individuals employed in an environment where the security and safety of people, goods or property is a requirement of the employing organisation’s operations or where such security screening is in the public interest.
The course covers principles within BS7858, the information required from the application process, administrative processes and the process of verifying career history. It also touches briefly on the legislative framework surrounding employment law in which the BS7858 operates.
