This course prepares delegates to deliver physical intervention training with the CALM – SAFE Physical Intervention learning resource suite. Due to the nature of the course, we require that delegates have gained the Level 3 Conflict Management for Trainers Award and are of suitable fitness prior to commencement of training.
Upon completing this course, delegates will be able to :-
- Apply the principles of CALM Quality Assurance system
- Demonstrate competence in both the performance and teaching of the CALM security industry physical intervention and escape techniques subject to verification
- Relate CALM principles and the procedures taught to a range of foreseeable scenarios
- Understand, perform and teach the CALM Security industry physical intervention techniques in order to use the CALM / SAFE materials to plan and deliver CALM physical intervention skills for the security industry level 2 courses for door security staff
Transferability Course
Trainers that have already obtained a Physical Intervention certificate with another training provider can transfer to the CALM / SAFE Physical Intervention by enrolling on a transferability course. We are currently offering a royalty free agreement to use CALM / SAFE materials for a 6 month period for people that join us through this route. Unlike many physical intervention learning material providers, CALM and SAFE do not charge a candidate fee for each person undergoing the training, but an annual license fee for the use of the materials.
